Vehicle Emergency Kits–Be Prepared

The sight of an auto slammed into a tree made me hit the brakes and interrupt a nighttime drive to the next town, where a friend was waiting to see me. The first thing I reached for were vehicle emergency kits.

The one in the glove compartment included a safety light and travel safety alarm while another in the trunk contained a 9 LED flashlight and a 4 in 1 emergency auto tool. I immediately turned my blinking emergency lights on.

I could make a female out inside the car as I walked towards it. Up close, I saw she was awake and struggling to free herself from the seat behind the wheel. I took note of her head contusion.

I pulled out the emergency auto tool from my vehicle emergency kits and used it, as intended, to break the window behind where the woman was. Through the window, I reached in to unlock the front door.

I did not take long to find out that I needed help if I was to shove her free with another set of hands tugging at her. The driver’s wheel won’t give otherwise. Unfortunately, there were no other vehicles in sight.

Rifling through my vehicle emergency kits, I zeroed in on the travel safety alarm and tried another tactic. I knew its din was effective within a 9 feet range so I sounded the siren.

A couple of policemen came to the rescue soon afterwards, confirming that they indeed paid attention to the emergency lights blinking and the emergency alarm ringing. They wasted no time in driving to the source then.

The cops called the hospital for any assistance they could get and then drove away with the woman. I was left feeling valorous, and the vehicle emergency kits, my hero’s gear.
